heartwork:
somatic healing for the heart
Our hearts take so many energetic hits in a lifetime. They absorb heartbreak, loss, longing, unspoken needs, and unprocessed feeling. They clench, guard, tighten, and try to keep us safe. And yet beneath the armor, the heart is still a fire — an engine of purpose, connection, and aliveness.
Heart Work is a somatic practice dedicated to the heart’s return--
A series of four sessions to unblock, unclench, open, express, heal, and soothe the emotional body and physical/energetic heart.
Through movement, breath, sound, and intuitive expression, we learn to listen to what the heart has been holding and create pathways for expression and renewal.

You do not have to be a movement practitioner with any experience.

In Heartwork, we learn to cultivate awareness, choice, and consent with ourselves to do this exploration. When we shut down the heart to feeling, we shut down to fulfillment. We shut down to the full spectrum of our human life.

A regulated nervous system and coherent heart are not static;
they are dynamic, alive, responsive.
The human experience is meant to move, feel, flow, and transform.

Heart Work guides you back to that natural rhythm — to a heart that feels, expresses, and opens again.
A heart that remembers its strength, its softness, and its power to lead your life from truth.
~Origins~
Over the past several years, my work has become more and more heart-centered. I mean this in an embodied way. In many traditions, the heart is a center for greater sense of purpose, connection, and love.

I greatly needed this work for myself after years of holding unexpressed pain, anger, unspoken words, unresolved issues.
I felt I had only two choices--one: to be eaten alive by these feelings and risk projecting them onto others continually or into my life
OR
Alchemize them--
use the awareness of my experiences to express and release these feelings in a transformed way---one that brought beauty, wisdom, and harmony instead of more scorching fire. I wanted to learn the balance of keeping a heart-fire warmly lit, passionate, and open, while also healing and acknowledging what it held in its own intelligence.
This led me to a path of deeper patience, self-awareness, and a willingness to explore new methods of healing practice.

These practices became necessary rituals of energetic hygiene, intentionality, and CURIOSITY.
As they birthed themselves as a fusion of somatic work, subtle body study, and various modalities, I learned that I am not my past, my pain, or a lost cause--even when my heart was hurting. I found laughter, light, release, so much insight, and ultimately, a connection I now share with others through this work.

I know what it feels like to live with conflict in the heart--to struggle to forgive, let go, and find a deeper understanding and relationship with our spirit.

A big part of the healing in this process is being witnessed, heard, guided, and supported. Instead of finding judgement or abandonment--we have the opportunity to be seen even as we are vulnerable, to heal even as we are imperfect, to embrace the creative potential of our lives wherever we find ourselves.
